I doubt whether anyone would argue that the reason for lower unemployment, higher labor force participation and shorter duration of unemployment among blacks in the first half of the 20th century was that there was less racial discrimination. I also doubt whether anyone would argue that during earlier periods, blacks had higher education and greater skills attainment than whites. Answers must be sought elsewhere.

No, i don’t think so! Where do you get these numbers? In fact, its the opposite, that is why Civil laws came into play.

Just this morning on (Nanny) Bloomberg News they were discussing the idea of IRA’s–limiting them to $3 million, and if anyone had more in there, they would have to withdraw it and pay taxes on it, essentially a siezure of about 50% of whatever the amount was.

But hey, it’s only for those evil rich people who have over $3mil in their accounts….for now…

Does Dr. Haberman really look almost exactly like Clark Gable, or is this (as I suspect) a photo of the actual Clark Gable, and if so, why on earth is it included with the article??!! The article, by the way, is very interesting and cause for vigilance. Thank you.
