Clark GableWhat’s wrong with The Tea Party is a very interesting post. Personally I have been very disappointed with the Tea Party. When it began it was a very large movement with power and respect. Then they broke into small state organizations and each one of them was constantly asking for more money and thinking they were high and mighty. I thought the least the Tea Party even in small groups could “get out the vote to defeat Obama.”

But they even failed at that! They ran lots of disorganized ads for many mediocre candidates. They wasted a lot of money and didn’t accomplish very much in the 2012 election. I think they have morphed from the “TEA PARTY” into the “SMALL GROUPS HOT AIR PARTY!”

The main problems are Republican leadership views as reflected in their actions and statements, media portrayals coupled with dejection sometimes leading to lethargy following last year’s presidential election debacle and a sense of lost direction.

And, of course, there is no conservative (small c) party. Instead, we are factions generally sprinkled around in a “mainstream” party that rejects our substantive input (money is welcome, ideas and candidates are not).

Yesterday, the New York Timesreported that the “biggest donors in the Republican Party” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project.
