Congress is Broken — It is time to read the bills before signing!!!

Clark GableFor some time now I have been tweeting about the need for our lawmakers to read the bills they sign before signing them. If in fact they do not know what they are signing they are more than likely doing what special interest groups are telling them to do. If any lawmaker signs or supports a bill of any kind and does not know what is in it they should be impeached and possibly charged with TREASON and put in jail!

This is certainly not what the founding fathers had in mind when they put together our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Our government is broken and we all need to be paying attention. This is an excellent video of Rand Paul explaining just how pitiful the Senate has become. As he explains the Senate does not even follow the rules made specifically for Senate activity! Please rest assured that the House is just as pitiful!

It is time for all those representing us in Congress once again work full time for “We The People” and if they do not want to work full time for us they must quit or be terminated. Our government is broken and it is time that those we send to Washington fix it so that “We The People” are correctly represented in Washington.

Retired, but still spending an inordinant amount of time thinking about all things big and small. I am proud to be a strong constitutional conservative. I am also proud to have been married over 56 years to my wonderful wife, Louise. I continue to be amazed that she has put up with me for such a long time, but have been happy that she decided to do so. "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not," warned Thomas Jefferson.
